i can't remember the street name but its very close to the indian basin area. The whole area is junk yards.

Check on http://www.craigslist.com for car parts in the bay area too.

you're probably talking about either Army St. or Cesar Chavez . . . there's probably about 4 or 5 junkyards at least in that area

You can check around Evan's. that's where I usually go to, there's a pretty nice DOHC that's been stripped of quite a few parts already sitting at a place called All Auto Disassemblers. there was another place called All Car Disassemblers that had a DOHC and a SOHC, but they both got crushed (the DOHC even had the vlsd and was willing to sell it to me for 100 but I didn't have the cash at the time and when I went back, the car was gone *cries*) there's another place further down, towards 280N/S onramp from evans but i forget what their name was. Might want to check out a pick n' pull in san jose, they're way cheap. Also there are good yards in Hayward.

this lists junk yards by location. i always find the prices high at junk yards. you definitely have to negotiate. i think i will just buy a junked one and park it in my yard with a cover.

crap.. no 240's at the junkyard

I went to all auto dismantlers on quint st and then another shop a few blocks down at a dead end. Having trouble finding that place called evans on the yellowpages or did you mean levins?

if you managed to find quint, you should have found evans. It's just off evans for all auto dismantlers. The addy is 398 quint. It does get a bit confusing down there though, and there's plenty of dog poop lying around so don't wear clothes you value too much.
