hello all, I have this problem with my versa(2007) sl Hatchback. whenever it rains/snow or ground is wet, my tires tend to slip and then tires get traction, i would like to change tires from 185/65/15 to 205/60/15. this was recommended by a mechanic that told me that the tires are too small for this car. I am curious as to how the car would look with 205, and also he recommends Michellin or Goodyear Eagles LS. Any information you provide is greatly appreciated. BTW i dont know much about tires and dont want to be taken. thanks

Question, how many miles on your tires? Have you done any tire shopping at any other dealers? I would suggest you look at, bigotires.com and tirerack.com, to get an idea on prices.
I changed my factory tires at 40k as they were 60% worn. I went to 195/65x15 Conti ProContact . I am very satified with the improved ride and handling. They also give a very quiet ride. But you may want a more aggresive tread pattern for rain and snow. Take a look at the recommendations on Tire Rack.

I have Firestone 205-60-15s and love them. Feels like the car sticks to the road and no more shacking at higher speeds.

I have Michelin Priimacy MXV4 185/65R15's and have 30000 miles on them they are fantastic very sticky tires and are awesome in the rain and snow, However I also own winter tires for the winter months and the Versa handles very well in deep snow and on ice covered road with the Michelin X-ICE Xi2 185/65R15's.
