What do you guys think this truck would be worth?

1993 Nissan Pickup King Cab5 speed2.4L KA24E2WDRuns greatInterior in great shapeNo Options (a/c, no carpet, p.w, pdl, etc)CD player with a few minor issues200,000 kms (120,000 miles)Needs Tires Soon (I can get lightly used tires for free from work)Minor rust on both pass. Fenders, none on drivers sideTailgate needs to be repaintedNo tachometer

Thats just my general explanation of it. The guy is asking too much, I am in the process of bartering with him. What abouts should I be looking to spend on this truck?

Also has power steering and the guy just spent $500 on parts and labour to get it safetied. And he changes oil every 3000 kms, so like less than 2000 miles.

okay, update, After elling him I would have his truck gone this week, he still wont budge under $2800. I asked for a pic of the passenger side, it's got some rust, so I'll show you guys that. He is just asking a little too much for this base model, needs dome work, truck.

I told him, "$2500 cash in hand, this week, truck gone off the yard by friday" Still wont budge.

Lke I said, the truck means too much to him, but his wife had another kid so they bought a new sentra.

If he doesnt email me by tomorrow evening maybe I will tell him $2600. I dont want to go any higher than that though.

no a/c lowers the price, no carpet lowers the price (even though it probably comes in handy when the snow flys) being a k/c adds to the price.. I am sure there is some sentimental value involved in the price, if you really want it, meet him half way and tell him its all you have!

Talked to him today. he will not budge off of $2800. He seems to think that this is less than the truck is worth and that someone will come by and offer $3200 if he waits.

Then I would let him sit on it for a week. See if he changes his mind next week. He wants to play games, I suggest you play. Tell him thanks but no thanks, make sure he sees you had the cash on you the entire time. Don't call him for a week, don't answer his calls either.

Yeah, that rust is pretty bad. It's all the way through.I know Canadian dollars are a bit different, but I still woudln't go more than $1800-2k for that truck.

Keep looking.

Well... I bought it haha.

I went back to his house, told Him I had $500 for a down payment and asked if he would do $2600 yet. he said no, then I asked if we could at least meet in the middle and he was fine with that. The next best truck I could find to this was a beat up, but pretty much rust free 87. And a mint 88, but he wanted like $5000 or more for it

I know a guy locally that does rust work on passenger trucks for a very reasonable price, and it comes out looking just like new with no imperfections.

I hope to get the rust work done asap because I hate driving rusty or dirty vehicles. Lookslike I acted a little too late though, the people that are buying my Sunfire are taking it on wednesday, and the starter went today. Cost me $150 or so to replace. Oh well, once I make this truck actually look good I plan to do a 2.5" or so exhaust, Escalade wheels from my uncle, upgrade the poor aftermarket stereo he has, and drop it a little, I just cant find any kits for this truck although I didnt look too hard.I do wish it had less rust though, but I wanted to get rid of my sunfire so bad already. I had already turned down an eagle talon, Honda Civic, and a Honda accord.

Would I be able to get an instrument cluster with a tach and just plug it in? Or would I have to wire something up? If so I know a surplus place that has 2" tachs for like $20, I could wire one of those in.

EDIT: I'm also looking for a roll pan for a fair price.

okay, I got the truck the other day and these are the only pics I took so far. I love driving this truck, and it's not bad on gas. needs better tires on the rear though.
