Me and my brother are trying to figure out what kind of car this is. Is it a kit car or something? We haven't been able to find anything so your help in doing so would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I could be wrong, but it looks like an MGB.

I've thought ab that but the rear is different. It almost has like a C2 corvette type rear and belt line. And the interior has a old vette look as well.

My guess is a Ghia 1500 GT, with the rear end customized. :gotme

Is it a car you have access to, or are they just pics?

The reason I ask is if you can touch it, you could check the VIN plate, maybe see a logo, or (I know this is crazy), you could ask the owner what it is...
I'm certainly curious to learn what it is.

I can't find anything that looks just like it, but the closest thing so far has been a Volvo 1800. I want to believe it's some kind of kit car, but the look of the ineterior makes me believe otherwise.

That is amusing, but if he can't identify it, then he probably does not have the title for it. that's a warning sign for buyers.

Not a Volvo or an MGB.

Interior screams "kit", as you can see the inside of the fiberglass tub (and the plywood buck used to make the dash arch is still in place).

Nose looks an awful lot like a 1959 250 GT Berlinetta SWB...

Image

I'm not usually stumped, but it's either a one-off or a kit (and, as I said, interior screams "kit").

To my knowledge, there were no fiberglass Ferraris until the mid-80's.

The trapezoidal grill and high mounted rear window made me think of the 1966 Ghia 1500 GT, but that C-2 Corvette like crease makes me think its a kit car of some sort.

Also note the lack of an opening in the rear. Definitely fiberglass.

Lee, get over there and get better pics STAT. :poke:

If I can get the guy to respond back to me I shall do that good sir! It has to be a kit car of some sort. When i first saw the pictures I thought it was a 63 corvette grand sport but the head lights are different.

The front end, vent, and signal lights reminds me of the old Ferrari 250.

The C-pillar is a little bit different, but the rest is a dead ringer.

You are now 100% officially my hero.

OK, now you gotta spill the beans (or, the bread crumbs, rather) on the search.

Freakin' amazing. :dblthumb:
