What setting do you have you suspension on when you are at the track or go from a dig? I have less tire spin when it is on the softer setting. Even if I go from a roll my tire spin at about 4,000 rpms. It could just be the tires but they are bigger than stock. I have the stock ones on right now and I light those up.

Soft up front. You want the front of the car to lift and transfer as much weight possibly to the rear wheels. The problem with Z's is that they are very nose heavy and theres hardly any weight past the rear wheels.

The single best mod you can do for traction is a good set of tires. Get some nice fat street radials on a 17x9 wheel. You could fit a nice 285/50/17 BF Goodrich or M/T street radial on those.

As far as suspension stuff, try this;

Go down to where it says "Rear Competition Suspension KIT - Z32 TT - Powertrix". Buy that. Then buy the "Rear Differential Carrier Bushings", and the "Subframe Spacers - Specialty-Z". Go to an alignment shop and get your rear camber and toe set to 0. I'd also recommend a rear strut bar and stiffer sway bar to keep the rear wheels planted and eliminate flex in the rear.

Another thing you can do is relocate your battery to the trunk. This will shift a good 30 pounds from the front to the rear of the car. Put it in the passenger side corner of the trunk, under the tail light.

That sounds expensive but it will need to be done in the future. I will ask my buddy if he can do the battery when he does the other stuff. I believe the tires on my after market rims are 9.5 inches. I was going to get some tires that were 10 because they would fit on those rims.

The battery is pretty easy to do, you can get a kit for like $50.

The most important thing with the tires is the type of tires they are. You want a wide, soft tire with soft sidewalls so the tire will absorb some of the stress from the power, instead of just putting it all to the ground.

You know what kind of tire you have?

For springs/struts I'd say yes but not for control arms, bushings, etc.

Do you still have your OEM TT rear wheels? If not, grab a set of those (you can find them on craigslist for about $100). Make sure they're the rears though (the rears are 8.5" wide, the front are 7.5"). Then buy a set of these P255/50R16. The tires you have are good for corners, but you'll just spin them all over the place from a dig. These will really help.

Yea I actually have the OEM ones on right now. I wanted my rims on though so I would like to get tires for those. The tires now do spin like crazy. What should I get for my rims?

If your new wheels are 17x9.5, then get the 275/40R17's.
