PLFR5A-11 $10.09 each at O'reilly. That may seem high, but trust me it's worth not having to do this procedure again for another 100k miles! They are not easy to replace... there is a harness/pipe/bracket in the way of every single damned coilpack. I took my time and it was about 2 hours to get them all in.

Don't clean the throttle butterfly while you're there. It will be tempting because you have the intake pipe off, and it's dirty face will be eyeballing you. Stick to the spark plugs! I should have read up before I touched my throttlebody... I ended up having to go through all sorts of reset procedures & guesswork trying to get my idle back down below 1300.

One repair at a time. I should know better by now!

I feel no difference, and a gross decrease in fuel economy. However, this may be due to me touching the throttle butterfly. I disconnected the negative terminal overnight as recommended in many 350Z threads. We shall see...

I spent 20 minutes alone just verifying the gap on all 6 plugs & prepping them with anti-seize. You are fast my friend!!!

Ohh yea, liking the eyelids...everything comes together pretty nicely with the grille, sport lip and the color is key too I think.

BTW did you get those custom made? pretty cool, I might be interested in testing them out depending on cost.

The eyelids are not my design, they come from overseas and cost just under $100 with shipping & paypal fees.

No word yet on pricing for the front splitters or rear diffuser fins which I made. :frown:

MPG is back up to normal. I guess it took a while for the computer to learn the efficiency of the new plugs???

Changed oil this weekend for $20, and wiped down the underside of the motor so it's all clean & shiny :)

completed some 'to-do items' on the car...just trying to stay ahead of the maintenance...

Installed new car battery: Die Hard Gold
replaced Camshaft Position Sensor

Decided to do both jobs at the same time so I wouldn't have to disconnect the battery another time (for the camshaft sensor)...it was pretty straight forward. I figured it was time to change the battery...

A good friend of mine has a Nissan Altima and asked me about the Camshaft pos sensor -- the dealer was quoting him over $100 to fix the part...we were able to get the part at the local auto parts store for under $60....I decided to change mine out as well...I keep hearing the 'horror stories' of Nissans/Infin stalling, hesitating, etc so I figured I don't want to run into that situation... :gotme

after helping my buddy change the sensor, then I did mine (about 20 mins) he treated me to some great mexican food & beer

better to be safe than sorry....

I had a new set of tires installed on Friday, used to have the OE tires and hated them. I hated how bad their wet traction was, and they tracked cracks and expansion joints way too much.

New tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS in 255/35-19. Brother has an IS and installed the same tires a few months ago and they have been excellent. These have amazing dry and wet traction, quietest performance tire I've ever driven on, and 40,000 mile tread life warranty. Only problem is, now that the sidewalls are shorter I want to add coil overs to the mix to take care of some of the wheel gap.

Can't say enough good things about this tire, more people should look into it. It is a bargain compared to the OE tires too.

I was able to finish the courtesy lights today.

I installed 1 39" strip with 60 leds on each side of the car.

They turn on with the alarm fob or when you open the door.

It came out great, all staight with an even glow.

I was thinking of doing this as well. Please dont just post pics of the light shining, I'd like to see the underside where the lights are and how you ran the wires...if not too much trouble. Which wires did you tie them into?...the kickplate power?

You get power from the light above the brake pedal or pass side foot area is the same.. If you get power from the kick-plate it will only work when you open the door. It won't work with the key fob.

I have it working with the key fob & when you open the door.

I ran the wire thru the side skirt.

I have to take pics in my garage as it's raining here every day, I'll have some pics very soon (have to pick up the kids at school).

I wanted to do the VIP puddle lights but they would not be even or straight and the light out-put too would be different.

With the leds strip they are staight and shine all the same. 60 led's in 39" is very bright, it can be seen during the day with the sun out. So far everyone that has seen it in person has said that they like it very much.

Def. would like to see this. My only concern and what stopped me to this point is I don't like the idea of them being on if I simply turn on the lights in the car. But I guess I'll go in the car and see when I flip that switch by the map light which lght turns on. Where did you drill the whole out to run the wire? Could you provide the link to the strip you bought?

EDit: Instead of me taking up this thread with all my back and forth questions, I'd really appreciate a write up if you have the time.

If you get power from the foot lights, the lights will only turn with the alarm fob or if you open the door (that's it). If you hit the switch on top the courtesy lights will not light up.

Try going out to your car and play with the lights and you will see that they are all used differenly. Your kick plates only turn on if you open the door and do not work with the alarm fob.

Here are some bad pics from the garage:

All pics are from the driver side.

The led's are so bright that you can see the glow on the ground during the day.

I'll have better pics when it stops raining.

Hey I'm not the first and won't be the last.

it's an easy mod to do.

I just didn't wan't to install the VIP puddle lights and not be happy with them, I even went to another forum looking for help on the VIP puddle lights installed on the aero skirts (not many around) and another member had dual strips (2 strip on each side) that he was installing on his M too.

I'm verry happy how it came out, nice and bright with everything even.

Now I'm looking forward to park in very dark places :rotflmao
