Hey All,

Haven't had my car waxed in a few months, but rainwater seems to bead up and stay wet on the car long after it has dried from other cars.
Sometimes it's wet for up to 24 hours after the rain has subsided.

Is this a sign of needing wax? I don't want to spoil my paint.

That is a sign that your car still has a good coat of wax/sealer on it. I wax my car at least every two months though. You can't "hurt" your paint by waxing it unless you apply it wrong.

Beading up is a good/bad thing. Good in that your car still has wax protection. Bad in that it allows the hard/acid/whatever rain drops to sit in the same location and possibly cause water spots or etch the paint.

Thanks for the input. It's a little concerning, so I'm going to take it to a detail guy. I'll report back if we straighten it out.
