Why are there very few forums that talk about g35/350z 6spd not the candy toy AT and not mention the Nissan Gloria Leopard Cedric Y33 Y34 VQ30DET engine as a option for added performance to your Z? Cause not to me many people know about the cousin or red headed step child of the 2nd generation American version VQ35DE or HR. If your true to the NICO way of life and you joined the forums just for answers only instead of being true to what some people call a passion or dedication. Then this Topic is not for you and please don't get all cocky as I seen when people try to educate others in the forum format. This topic is soley for the serious tuners and performance g35/350z 6spd Coupe/Sedan 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation.

So, wit that out the way. Has anyone done a vq30DET swap for your vq35de? If so I have some questions about parts. Reply if possible with success or failure in any aspect of Engine and Drivetrain with OEM tranny ( As you know it will directly bolt on to stock vq35de tranny)? I know it produces 375 stock because its factory turbo, but if I run her hard as hell as I plan to!!! What are some things to expect, due to the fact that our crappy fuel in America will clogg the s*** out of OEM injectors.

More to come and pic my new toy in my 04 350z 2+2 6spd MT (Sorry, another side joke to the fakers who don't know what 2+2 means but want to stand talk about retard first upgrade question about exhaust sounds but dont even know there car.....so if your reading and decide to post a rhetorical comment 04 350z 2+2 is a G35 and stop searching for what NICO stands for before joining a real forum!

Thanks

Because most people would simply TT or SC their VQ35DE (or HR) instead of trying to install a VQ30DET and getting it working properly with the ECU.

What does NICO stand for?

I am a Nissan owner and Infiniti car owner. Why so pompous about it instead of adding better insight being that you are a moderator? Not everyone has $5-10g's to spend, I was just looking for a less expensive way to get it to work. Just to let you know I gave up that Idea and went with a VQ45DE motor instead and it runs like a charm.

Thanks

I'm not being pompous at all. Maybe you didn't mean to have attitude in your original post but that's the way I read it.

Good luck with the V8, sounds like and interesting project.
