Hello, I am attempting to swap a VK56VE engine into a Datsun 280z, and i was wondering if i will be able to fit the engine into the bay, let alone close the hood. I have seen other posts similar to this where they say fabrication is needed to fit the engine. I want to know to what extent fabrication is needed and also, if i will be able to even fit a aftermarket turbocharger, air filter, and other aftermarket parts.
Also, sorry for asking so many questions but i have been told that a nissan 350z transmission will connect to the VK56 with an adapter plate, but will it fit into the 280z? It this true, and if not are there any other solutions?
