vin number sat info

Does anyone know if the vin number contains info about sat radio pre wiring?

I have 2004 coupe with sat button, but do not know if it is pre wired.

Everything above 2003.5 came prewired. If you really want to check, go to your trunk, take out the carpet and you'll see a plastic piece on the left. Take that off and you should find a wire harness. That would be it for satellite radio.

Thanks. So I can just buy the adapter , run the wire to my console and I am ready to go? No going under the dash?

Sounds like you're doing iPod integration. Yes, that's pretty much it. If you go to http://www.everythingg35.com and you find the factory kit on their site, they have instructions on how to install in a PDF.
