Has anyone noticed any side effects from the pedal recall? Since I've gotten mine done I've noticed the slip light coming on way more when accelerating, without actually seeing me take off faster. I also feel the car stutter a bit once in a while.

Sorry to hear this. I haven't received the letter yet and I don't think I care too much. If it ain't broke don't fix it right? I have no issues with my pedal and the cost of removing the Tune then reinstalling it plus my time completely negates my will to perform this recall. Should the need arise in the future where the pedal shows clear signs of malfunction I will consider it then.

Mine was done last month. I noticed a difference in acceleration with regard to how far I press the pedal. Seems that the least bit of movement on the accelerator pedal gets immedicate response now. The pedal isn't stiffer, just that that the engine seems more closely connected to the pedal and reacts with more sensitivity. Also, in spirited driving, like overtaking on the motorway, there is much reduced lag time between mashing the pedal and jumping forward - almost instant now, which is great . No difference noted in the gear box and automatic shifting that I've noticed. '
I added after-market sports pedals about a year ago. The accelerator sports pedal screws on top of the existing pedal and it caused no issues with the recall repair in case anyone wondered.

I never got a letter and figured I probably never will since I bought the car in Dec. Was taking a trip into the big city anyways so figured I'll get it done.

Car is much more responsive now. Maybe a touch too much.

i had never seen the slip light till after i had the recall done. The roads were much worse (snow and grit) before I had the recall done.

And yes my car has shuttered a few times since.

So your not alone.

No noticeable side effects after having the recall work done in Jan. Throttle response from idle seems slightly better but it could all be in my head. Acceleration from a standing start is still disappointing on my M45S unless you really punch the gas pedal.

I've got smoother, faster, more controlled accelerating out of mine!! I like it since I'm used to driving my g35 sport sedan as my daily and it's super quick!! :dblthumb:

Only complaint i have with mine is longer duration when shifting from fourth to fifth. When i accelerate to 80 it often lingers in fourth instead of shifting to fifth. Not happy with it.

The thing that I know is going to piss me off is when I go into the dealer in a few days and tell them this they are going to say that it's not possible, or they don't see it, or no one else has had a problem of any sorts.

I have also experienced similar issues since the recall fix. I only see it when the car is cold though. It feels like a transmission slip, but could be non responsive throttle.

The transmission slipping is a good way to put it. i cant necissarily say cold days because everyday has been frigid, and not necessarily when the car is cold because its happened 30 min into driving.
@sergio1987, you know how a tractor trailer switches gears and you see it stutter/jerk? That's hat happens, but not that violently. Sometimes you may even miss it. Or another way to put it, imagine if the car is super responsive and you tap the gas rapidly and let go five times within a second. Those are the best I can do.

Thx Tdot...Sounds like I'm going to skip on the recall, my car seems just fine the way it is. Like they say, don't fix something that ain't broke.

All was well before and all is well after. I really haven't noticed any difference except probably the placebo of having it in to the really fancy-shamsy dealer; Kirkland Infiniti. As an added benefit they have a really good coffee service and the greatest chocolate chip cookies hot out of the oven! :yesnod
