So I have seen the lightly tinted tail lights on the M and its great on all body styles. Does anyone have pics of an 06+ M with some light tint/ 2 coats of VHT on the headlights?

I don't think anyone has done that but I am planning on trying VHT and clear coat to add eyebrows to my M. Not sure when I will do it - probably next week. I'll post pics after, but I'm thinking VHT would make great eyebrows since it won't actually block the headlamp or affect the dispersal of light for nite driving but still look black from the outside.

I have seen pics of the eyebrows and I think it is a really nice mod. Makes the front end look even more aggressive. I think the whole headlight with a little VHT would look nice too. The only thing I worry about is having the tint hide all of the accents and details inside the headlight housing. It really is a work of art in those little guys…

I agree, Timothy. I don't want to reduce the way the inner chrome reflects against itself inside the lens. My plan is to use a ruler, line it up flush with the leading front edge of the hood so the tint continues from the hood across the headlamp lens at the same angle, making it appear as an extention of the hood and adding to the agressive appearance of the front end. I plan on doing this as soon as I'm released frommy vegetable garden building by my g/f LOL - possibly in another week or so. I'll be doing enough coats on the lens to blacken the surface, then 4-5 coats of clear coat to add depth. I'm fairly certain the eybrows will be high enough on the lens to avoid changing the area lighted by the lamps so it won't effect night driving. I'll do one side first, test it at night, and then do the other after I confirm I am right.
