VEERY SLOOOOW Outside Temp indicator ! (M56)

Hi folks, My 2011 M56 has a curious fault in the external temperature display function : from time to time it starts out at a very low temp...this afternoon in Tucson, 54 degrees F...when the outside temp was 79 degrees F. Then as I drove, about every 5 minutes, it would increase by ONE degree. By the time I was home it read all of 60 F ! It did this about a year ago, so I took it to the dealer and though they could find no fault, apparently the "Infiniti Technical Rep" told them to go ahead and replace the temperature sensor unit, which they did. It behaved normally for most of the last year, now it does this weird slow response thing about twice a month. It strikes me that something else is wrong...

- Perhaps the programming only allows it to update display temp once per five minutes, and only one degree at a time ?

The car is still on warranty of course so I'll take it back to Infiniti sometime but I was wondering if any of you had experienced this and knew the cause. Thanks in advance for any support !Doug
