I have a 2007 G35 S Coupe 6 speed. I just bought it "as is" and it seemed fine but have been noticing daily the clutch is getting harder and harder to put into gear only when the car has not been driven in a while (mornings, evenings after work). it recently has started stalling at red lights due to the clutch issue in the mornings. After 15-20 mins driving the car shifts fine and clutch works perfect. I don't think it's a pressure plate as it wouldn't get better after driving. I checked the fluid and its not low nor leaking anywhere I can see. I'm confused about what it could be, can anyone help?

You didn'tt mention how many miles are on your vehicle nor why you did not have it inspected by an Infiniti dealer to run the VIN number and provide a service history prior to purchase.

My guess is it probably needs a clutch replacement from possible abuse.

When I traded in my previous 06 G35 at 171796 miles ir still had the original clutch. A previous 1980 VW Rabbit had 200k miles on it before it needed a clutch replacement.
Inexperience in driving a manual or abuse results in a short clutch life.

I don't see how that could be it if the problems only present themselves when the car is cold. As I said when it warms up it shifts just fine. The car has only 86000 miles and other than the clutch issues runs like a champ. If it needs a clutch replacement wouldn't it be hard to shift all the time plus there is no slippage or grinding.
