I'm curious if anyone has a beginner friendly writeup or tutorial how I would go about wiring the turn signals to stay on when I have the parking lights on, and as well as the regular headlights.

I have considered using them to enhance the meager parking lights, however, I am concerned about the heat if the lights are on continuously.

LEDs give off less heat than the regular bulbs. Wouldn't that fix the problem?

The turn signal lamp, PY21W (BAU15s) comes as single filament only. It has a strange 150 degree offset lug arrangement. So the solution is to hardwire new 1157 (dual filament) bulb sockets. Connect the low beam side to the parking light. The high beam side connects to your existing turn signal wire. Use existing turn signal ground. See the FSM, LT.pdf for lighting system schematics.

If you use LED lamps you'll need to add load resistors to the turn signal circuit, but not the parking lights.

Thanks AJ, from the sounds of that it would be easier if I just got proper DRLs.

It's not all that difficult. I use my Foglights as DRL. All I needed to do was bypass the foglight relay. Look Inside the IPDM and find an ignition switched source. Run a jumper wire from there to the foglight fuse. Or that same source to your aftermarket DRL.
