Wuz Up,

i used the swain coating for my turbo manifold and down pipe.....it reduces heat significantly. before the coating the downpipe would heat up so much it would melt the brake resovior. lately i have been using the fiberglass heat wraps and in addition to the coating on the downpipe and manifold with excellant results. you can actually touch the down pipe even when the car has been run hard and there doesnt seem to be as much heat in the engine bay as before. hope it helps.

I've had my manifold heat coated before, besides from keeping the underhood temp. down it also keeps it the manifold from getting all rusted up...........Z

Check out http://www.thermotec.com/

We used this on the turbo in my Dad's dumptruck, which runs 30 some lbs of boost, and theres a helluva lotta heat in there. Now after a day of running the truck in the summer heat you can stick your hand on the turbo wrapping on the exhaust side of the turbo and its not too incredibly hot.
