Once pressing the trunk opener either from interior, remote key, or on trunk is it supposed to fully open on its own??

Not on my '06 M45, it simply goes "cluck" and the trunk lid is released from the locked position. Manual labor is required to fully open the lid.

My FX was the same way.

Stupid question but I was just wondering if the arms on the trunk needed replacing. Thanks for the reply!

No!

You have to lift it up.

Never a dumb question.

I've yet to replace my truck struts either. Though the ding-dong bagger broke my cargo net mounting stud.

It's kinda annoying because you have to either lift from the spoiler (if equipped) or wedge under a lip.

Totally. After 9 years (wow, 9 years) my M45 has more than enough scratches to the clear coat trying to close the lid. The little handle on the inside is pretty useless trying to shut the trunk lid all the way. I try to hold on to the infiniti emblem with a few fingers and close the lid.

Becksim: I am hoping you can help me out. I am trying to find a current owner of a 2006 G35X sedan to help me with a case I am handling on behalf of a client. I am trying to determine the light level which activates the automatic headlights. If you are in the Philadelphia. Pennsylvania area, could you please contact me at 215.557.2939 Thank you. Yea, when I saw that post I was kind of confused because I never recalled you talking about owning an M series in the past let alone still owning one. Must have been some server error... unless... you've got a stalker. :ohno:

And to think! you thought you were "stalking" us! :rotfl
