Is there anything i can do, I'm going to have to change the rear tail lights soon but CAN'T any HELP would be great .

THANK YOU TIM KNIPP

How did you fit your lock in the mechanism?

More info is needed...

climb inside the trunk, pull the trim away from the latch and start prying. my twin bro just had the same problem. had to pry from the inside for a few hours.

This is still confusing for me, i dunno about you guys....

You are telling us that there are two holes in the top of the trunk deck lid and you ran a chain through them? How exactly were you sure that you got the chain through the lock-loop?

I think you just might be doing this wrong...

i tore the plastic panel off the bottom part of the trunk and there was a bracket below the lock i went around the metal bracket then up to the space behind the lock on the trunk lid i put the chain through that space

SO, um, unlock the chain and pull it out, then unlock the trunk.

Yea try that or just somehow get in behind the seats and cut the wire with some pliers and yank up the trunk to pull the wire through?

You put the padlock INSIDE the trunk? OH SNAP.

You're screwed. Sorry.

Best way I know of to get into the trunk that way is to bash in your taillight and stick your arm in through that way then. You will have to get another taillight.

Why not? Tail lights are cheap! Just get one from the classified section here on NICO and then go about the removal when you have it in your hands. Stock taillights are cheap.
