I am in search for the lamp lens cover for the trunk lid lamp assy (on 2011 Infinity M37). Infiniti parts has the full assembly only, I cannot find just the clear lens cover. My intent is to replace the smoke color lens cover in each footwell lamp with the clear to give better illumination. The front footwells and trunk lamp assembly has the same size lens cover. Can anyone help?

doesn't look like you can separate the lens cover from the whole light assembly...

honestly, i just kept the covers off--you can't tell unless you stick your head down in the footwell, but i know some folks can't stand the idea of just "naked" bulbs down there

here's a blurry photo--(sorry cheap camera) of my amber/orange leds i used:

I never realized there are lights down there! I'm going to have to take a look when I get home.

My car has footwell lamps with dark covers but mine can be removed - you're right they seem to be duplicates of the cargo lights but with dark covers. Others have also previously posted that they removed the covers to increase brightness. I changed my bulbs to Xenon white 6000k and even with the dark covers ON, the light was increased significantly, so I left them on.

*** Just a thought - My M's fender turn lamps also have covers that can be removed, but the newer M's have a one-piece design. I'm wondering if you can't do with buying a set of 2007 fender turn lamps (about $30 on Ebay) and substitue them for your stock footwell lamps? They appear to be identical but I haven't actually compared them myself.

Thanks for the info - I'll check into the fender turn lamps for just the lens cover. I will also try the brighter bulb you suggested.
