The transmission in my car has always annoyed the hell out of me. One day i was bored and looking through TSBs for my car and came up with this:
"Classification:
AT001-004a
Reference:
ITB00-028a
Date:
December 4, 2000
2000-01 I30 A/T SLIPS FROM FIRST TO SECOND OR SECOND TO THIRD GEAR
If an applied vehicle exhibits slow or delayed shifting from first to second gear or from second to third gear (particularly at one-half throttle or greater application) refer to the Service Procedure listed below to properly diagnose and repair the vehicle."
Now there is this whole write up on All data about first changing the fluid which i've done before then goes into replacing the TCM, then working on the solenoid valve assembly. Now I cant find the other TSB thats similar, but its titled: "Car seems like its searching for gear." My car does this as well. Just wondering how many other people have heard about this or have modified their trannys to drive half way decent. THANKKKKKKKKS
