Found out I've been running for a day or two with a pretty much dry tranny. I've topped it off and it has solved a couple problems I've been having. Would adding conditioner to it as well be a good idea? A few people have been telling me I should do that since I've been driving it without any fluid. I just had it serviced at the dealership a few months ago.

Ugh. What happened?
Are you now driving it full of ATF?
How is it working?

Yeah, it's now full. I was in an accident that broke my radiator and I'm guessing that I lost fluids that way. It's now driving great, just not sure what kind of damage I may have caused and thought conditioner may be something that could help preserve it. I've read that LubeGard Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Protectant is great for a tranny, but wanted to get some other opinions on that.

There was probably wear to the lined clutches and maybe bearing surfaces throughout the trans. Components exposed to the highest loads would have suffered the most.
I think additives are BS. The damage is done and nothing in a can is going to undo it.
The fact that everything is working well now is encouraging, the damage may be minimal.
Keep an eye on things, but you may have got lucky.

I'm not a fan of any additives. Keep and eye on it and hopefully everything works out OK

Well I didn't put in any additives and it's running great right now. I did find out why I lost all my fluid. I had a pinhole leak in one of the hoses. Luckily I was somewhere that had plenty of hose to choose from. Thanks a lot for the input Audacious, much appreciated.

Glad you found the leak, usually that's a pain to find at times.
