2006 G35 Coupe, automatic tranny.

Today I was trying cross a busy street and nailed the throttle. The engine reved up fairly high and the car hesitated a bit before it moved. When it finally did it was quick but it didn't break traction and it didn't push me back in the seat.
Is there any known problem that could have cauued this or is just the norm for this car?
Sorry but I'm new to the G35.

Thanks

Clutch slipping or clutch pedal didn't release properly which is an issue on the G35 M/T.

Automatic transmission has a torque converter, no clutch to slip and obviously clutch pedal wouldn't be an issue.

Are there any known problems with the torque converter?

I would imagine some of it could relate to the way car has been driven but the car oly has 83000 miles on it. What can I do to check it out other thn going o the dealership? It is under warranty.

Then take it to the dealership and let them determine what is wrong. You paid for that warranty, better get your use out of it.
