I recently tested voltage on my 1991 nissan 240 and it put outs 1 volt with the throttle closed and 8 volts with the throttle open, which makes it bad. My question is my car used to be an automatic and i swapped it too a 5 speed. I know that the tps is different for automatic and Manuel transmission. So which tps sensor should I go about buying? manuel transmission tps or automatic transmission tps? whats the difference.

A manual or an automatic will work. They're the same, the AT just has a switch to tell if the throttle plate is at wide open.
