Ok guys, please dont flame me... :ohno:

I know I read somewhere that the z32 has a 1000 pound towing capacity... Is that correct? Has anyone ever towed anything WITH their z32??

I took my sportbike to the race track for the first time last weekend and got seriously addicted.. I have found incredibly basic motorcycle haulers online, and they look light..(like two wheels and a metal trough in the center to hold the bike) and that would be a much more affordable option than keeping the z but buying a truck to carry the bike on, and a much more favorable option to selling the z for a truck or bumming bike shuttles off my friends every time I want to go to the track..

My bike is ~430 pounds wet, so I could potentially be in a safe spot to find a really light trailer for my bike with the z, providing I get a hitch for her???(i cant believe I am even allowing these thoughts in my head right now) :inout:

Advice/experience is appreciated..

Please be kind :ohno: :poke:

Hello Sarah...

A bike trailer with a bike is a light load and will not strain the car. You should call up your local hitch installers, they should set you on the right track.

Me. I recently towed boat totaling in 9000lb with the trailer from Iowa to California. My truck has a 20,000 GCWR (gross combined weight rating) meaning both truck and trailer; truck weights 7,500.

This is serious weight. A motor bike weight worth is chumps change. :dblthumb:

^^when did you move to Iowa? Located anywhere near Des Moines? I'd like to check out that Rb project of yours if so (how's that coming along?)

Sorry to threadjack. Is your z auto or manual?

You should be fine Sarah as rare says, your bike and trailer won't create anough weight drag for the Z to even notice...and you'll REALLY stand out even more than ever! :bigthumb:
Bart, just click rare's link in his sig to check out the insanity he's done with his Z, all the info's there...and you can join me in waiting to see what he does to it later!

Sarah it doesn't matter what you have to do if you have to get a trailer then find a way to hook it to the Z then by all means do it. IMHO if that means you get to keep your Z then that is the route you need to take.

Just don't don't get rid of your car for a truck you will regret it..

Haha yea, I was thinking about that.. Chick shows up to the track in a z32 towing a sportbike behind it!

That's exactly what I was hoping for man.. I am so crazy about this car, I am willing to do pretty much anything to keep her. I honestly don't think I could trade her for a truck...

And I will definitely post pictures when everything comes together.. I finally have something to spend my tax return on!! :woot: :mike
