I want to replace my TPMS units, is there a particular brand I should by for this car?

Thanks

I'd stick with OEM from eBay. Just verify the model number, etc.

I would also consider Schrader branded ones, if you want new. Schrader is the godfather of putting air into pressurized systems.

A lot of OEMs just rebrand their stuff.

I think this is the brand Tirerack sells. I had them on my M35x I think.

Thanks for the feedback, I picked up some Schrader's on e-bay.

Great! Let us know how they work out.

Do you have any specifics on them like frequency rating or model/part number?

FWIW...I had to replace a dying TPMS sensor last summer when getting new tires and went with this one from Amazon...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CB ... UTF8&psc=1

Seems to be working well, so far.

Also replaced one during the prior tire change with what they had at Advanced Auto with good results, as well. The Amazon one was cheaper, so went that route the second time.

Recently, I had 2 TPMS sensors replaced by a large chain tire store on my 2009 M35X. The car failed to receive the TPMS signal and showed ***. I had to go back 2 times and call the sensor mfg. customer support before we resolved the issue.

Just because a tech's tool (Bartek) is receiving the TPMS signal doesn't mean the car is. In order for my M35 to receive the signal, my car's TPMS computer had to be reset using the tool. Only then did the car see the new sensors.

Yes, the tool does two things: receive the sensor signal/ID, and then write the ID to the tpms control unit.
