Has anyone replaced the timing chain, guides, tensioners, and water pump on a 4th gen?

I've replaced guides and tensioners on my Q45. I'm wondering if I should try to tackle the job on the VQ30DE? I'm not finding the same amount of information for replacement on the VQ30DE as there is for the VH45DE.

I've been quoted $1,800 for a replacement job. Unfortunately, I don't think the car is worth much more than $1,800. Though it does have new axles, struts, wheel bearings, alternator, and tires.

go to page EM-17.

AFAIK, to the job you basically have to drop the motor.
