SO, I always say the coolest thing about what I do isn't really the cars - It's the cool people I get to meet while doing what a car guy does...
This weekend, my best buddy Jason (rotorimp) needed an L24 for a pristine 72 Z he picked up (sans motor). He finds one on Craigslist and asks if I'll cruise over to look at it with him.
The place that has it is a nondescript, ratty-looking warehouse, kind of off the beaten path.
Until we get inside...
It a Ferrari / Lamborghini parts dismantler's warehouse. And the owner was cool as hell - we wound up staying for a couple hours, touring the warehouse, and talking cars.
And, of course, me without a good camera - But I shot these to share with you guys.
Engines and heads - One of several racks... floor to ceiling!
Testarossa engine.
Stacks and stacks - Look how rare some of these are!
Calipers - over 20 shelves this size. Some that make my Brembos look tiny!
Ten shelves of Brembo rotors.
Rare shells and panels - See the Dino?
One of several racks of wheels.
That's a Countach chassis. GORGEOUS.
