Been thinking of getting a new vehicle lately, and the early 90's 240sx's caught my eye. I seen a 91 with 75k miles, 5spd, A/cfor 3200$I got a couple questions, how much boost can a stock 240sx handle?Or would I have to get stronger internals? Can the stock transmission on a 5spd handle it?How much hp/torque can the read end handle?

Don't know much about imports, still learning

By the way, at 75k is there anything to look for in a 240sx?

It sounds like you're under the impression that the 240sx comes stock turbo, which it doesn't...atleast not in the US. The 5 speed transmission is not the strongest. It's gears aren't so bad, but the synchros tend to wear out fairy quickly. 75000 miles is not bad at all for a 91. Mine has 205K and it still runs great...even though the guy before me drove it like he stole it-

What are you going to be using the car for mainly? Commuter, AutoX, Drag? You should have a general direction of where you want to go before you get ahead of yourself.
