I only got a general idea of what you have accomplished and it gives me great hope for my future project I'm about to start. I would like to ask what you would change in hind sight, so I can hopefully learn from you.

I first would look into all options before just jumping in. Double and triple checking if it absolutely needs to happen, like cutting my firewall. If its a service that's available and a decent price do it, like my harness cost my $250 to get done and I ended up losing $450 before I even spent the $250 to get harness modified because I didn't just get it done.

I currently have a VQ35DE/6spd out of an '03 Nissan 350Z. I considered putting it in my '78 Datsun 620 KC however, I can't seem to find much online support with this particular swap? Struggled to find engine mounts, trans mount and ecu help. I'm now looking for an SR20DET/5spd to swap instead. Maybe I'll eventually put the VQ in my '72 Datsun 510 wagon, if I can find the swap support.
