i have had this in the back of my mind over a year now,and finally got insipration.

the shifter under the plastic the stock knob is held on with is 10mm. all manual nissan (and a couple others) shift knob threads are m10x1.25.

i cut threads into the shifter with an m10x1.25 die...

the one i got at the local hardware store is like the bottom one in the pic, that way i could just use a cresnt wrench, and cost $7.

i put a clear bubble "dildo" knob on...

if i decide i dont like it i have a plan B. but so for i like it, it is more comfortable.

i will get a pic tomorrow as it is 1230am and i just finished.

it was very easy and quick, maybe 25 mins, including the time it took to find my damn tools.
