Just picked up my rb25det set and some parts today! Got it home and getting ready to clean it up. Got a question though about putting it on an engine stand. I've got a 750lb stand and I'm sure it's capable of holding that weight but I noticed the block uses skinnier bolts to mount the trans. I can't use the stock bolts since it's not long enough but is it safe to use the stand relying on those skinny bolts? Just a little nervous about it....

On a side note, I highly recommend jdm tech of Orlando for ur engine needs. Very cool people willing to go the extra step to help u out. Also it was nice to meet Ricky n Sean at Rawbrokerage.

Ok the bolts hold up. But looks like the turbo coolant lines are trashed n I'm missing one engine mount. More things to add to the buy list...
Here is a pic of it as it stands.

My engine stand is rated for 1250, and that long iron i6 still made it sag. Normally an engine would be slightly slanted upwards on it, but my 26 was slanting down lol. It held up fine though.

Yeah I set a 2x4 under the front part of the engine just in case. I was just nervous about the skinny trans bolts. My honda had thicker bolts... Should be ok now.
