I've been ignoring the car too long. So here it is.















She's got the original QG15 engine, with a primera catback exhaust, a pioneer deck and 17" Avus rims with 225/45 tyres.

Heres the plan. As soon as I complete the conversion on my 720, I'll be installing a QR20 with 5 speed manual, changing the front seats and reupholstering the whole car. Music will be attended to later in the build.

Well things aren't working out as they should, so here's the new plan. Bought another head. I'm taking 15 thou off the head, porting and polishing, upgrading the fuel system and cutting the cam to 256 duration. Depending on how this works, I'm then going to do some extractors and 2 1/4" exhaust.

Well,I think I overdid it. The heads gone (cracked) and its burning oil now. So I'm changing to some sedate. Qg18 with extractors and doing some body work. body tech said month end to bring it in so i hope to install the new engine before that.







And I changed the rims 205/55/15.

its off to the body shop. I haven't had the chance to change the engine as I couldn't source one. So when it returns I'll be replacing the QG15 with a used head and block. Pics will coming soon.

Its back. Got it back from the body tech on Saturday. No pictures as yet but soon. Looks different.

The car was on the alignment machine. there were two problems when I got it back. First the oil light was coming on whilst driving. I changed the filter and that solved the problem. Secondly, there was a heavy grinding noise when turning to the right. The left spindle was bad. I changed to the 2009 Sentra spindle. Now I have to find a right side spindle. This carries a large disc and caliper. I also changed the tint and decals. Will update again soon.

By the way, would the post of this nissan fall under any of these forums or would I need to continue under others?

I keep forgetting to update you all. I got and installed the QG18 DE VVT engine and it has some minor problems, but changing the ECU will solve it all. The fuel cut comes in when not under power and it stalls at about 88 MPH. I also changed the color of the rims to the same white as the car. Pics will come soon.

By the way I purchased a 1998 AE111 Corolla wagon last week and finally completed all transactions - title, insurance, engine change - yesterday. pics will come under another post here in others.
