Does anyone know how or where i can find a write up on checking the coil packs to see if they are running correctly, im am not sure how to do this and can find a write up on this, i know its out there because i have seen it a long time ago but can not find it and also what it should be running at, because i know i have a misfire and already replaced an injector less than 6 months ago and right after that a coilpack went bad, the back of it split open, the same side cylinder as the injector, also when changing the plugs that one was lean, so i want to start with checking the coil packs, i have replacements but i want to know how to check them.

Ignition Coils:
You can also check the resistance between the middle and the left pin (looking from the side of the engine) of the coil connector. It should be ~0.7 Ohm.

Check also the coil connectors for corrosion and overall condition. The locking pin tends to break and the connector can come off by itself. See Contact cleaning document for more info on repairing the harness.

I suppose a bad coil could also perform differently when either cold or hot.
