Temp Gauge fluctuates

I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE 3.5 and I cant seem to figure out the problem...my temp gauge goes up when I press my brakes.. I know it seems it might be an electrical problem since the gauge will go back to normal after I release the brakes.. your help is greatly appreciated.. I replaced the alternator a few months back also..hope this helps.. thanks in advance

Try taking the bulbs out of the brake lights and see if the pedal creates the same result. If it does then there is likey a short in a brake line. If it is unchanged, then I would look for bad ground connections next.
