I've had the TCS/SLIP lights on for a while now and if memory serves I have code 19? Can't really remember. About a year ago I had the ABS light coming on with them and I actually had an alternator voltage regulator failure. Testing system voltage showed voltages up to 19 volts! If you are getting all three lights I'd recommend checking the alternator out to make sure, that high voltage could really fry a lot of things. Once the new alternator was installed no more ABS light.

Prob. not really common but it's worth a simple voltage test to make sure, you wouldn't want to drive very far with a bad voltage regulator.

One cool thing about it was my power windows were super fast!

Re: (zinkie13) ABS/TC/Slip lights on FY33

Postby Chrisfrend » Sat May 27, 2006 5:10 pm

I had the ABS/TC/Slip lights come on last Saturday. Used an OBD II scanner and got no relevant codes. Took it to Autozone and they said I definitely needed a new alternator. Checked the fuses which were OK, and then took it to the dealer per the FSM's advice on Monday. Dealer had the car Monday and Tuesday, and said they couldn't figure out what was going on, and consulted with Infiniti. The dealer then said that the relay was not responding to Consult, and charged $349 for diagnosis and replacement of relay. It seems to me that they might have tried replacing the relay after the first hour or so of not being able to figure out what was the problem, which I told them. They charged me the full amount anyway. I did get a "free" loaner, but wish now I had tried replacing the relays myself. I thought a $98 diagnosis would determine the problem, but didn't expect the clock to continue running when they couldn't figure out the relay needed to be replaced. I generally avoid this dealer but didn't want to take a risk on a complicated ABS system.

ABS/TC/Slip lights on FY33 (Chrisfrend)

Postby Yardie_bwoy » Sun May 28, 2006 2:01 pm

Chris,

Your story is troubling. It is exactly this situation that keeps me from taking the car into the dealer.

I remember calling to set up and appointment and being told it would cost nearly $300 just to take a look at it. Thank goodness a forum like this exists.

Can you tell me what year your car is? Apparently this problem is common among the first generation Q45's, but I have not read anything about the second generation Q's having this problem.

Re: ABS & TCS Lights Q45 Stay On

I had the problem with my 2001 Q45. Corner mechanic checked the relay (ok), suggested a sensor on one of the wheels might be bad--would've had to change them one at a time, or all at once to check that theory (not cheap). Couple of weeks later had tires replaced. Warning lights went off. Thanks, Txxe Kxxxxxm, for chasing the ghost from the machine.

In my Q of 1994 is lit OFF TCS, SLIP and light brakes.
I fixed the alternator and brake light went out.

I took relays for auto electrician to check whether they are in working order. He checked it and said that they are working.
My question is do I have to buy new relays?

Thank you for your help, Chris

Code 13 is "Secondary throttle opening signal circuit open, throttle signal circuit open or fail-safe for TCM"

There are several steps that you can take to diagnose this further... you'll want to view/download the service manual at www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

The section for TCS codes starts on BR-77.

Good luck!

Should I replace the secondary throttle sensor?

Do you first check the error codes in TCM?

I got into computers, which are under the steering wheel

http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/2b7 ... e59ff.html

The computer, which is located under the steering wheel

http://www.fotosik.pl/pokaz_obrazek/23c ... 54e84.html

When you turn the key in the ignition, I did not see flashing lights

Is this computer is to check? Is that a computer is TCM?

Thank you for your help.

Hi, do you think if any of these secondary throttle sensor will work well in the Infiniti Q45, 1994? Do I have to buy the original part dealer Infiniti?

Does anyone have it remade?

Hi guys, I have a secondary throttle sensor.

the problem is that when connecting it to the control TCS off and SLIP do not go out.

Is there a correct connection of the secondary throttle sensor (I mean the black sensor), can I do something wrong. You may need this gray plastic circle that rotates to set in place.

Please, help.
