1993 infiniti Q45 124000 kilometres. TCS and SLIP lights stays on all the time.. does anyone know why? Even when I am idling? I turn the tcs switch on and off and it just stays on... has the system died and gone into fail safe mode? Did the previous owner oossibly disable the tcs?

All good.. I looked through the threads from the past on here. No one ever replies to my posts anyway. I still keep asking when I have an issue

I think if the wiring at the throttle body module that kicks in at wheel spin,if that's damaged,i think those lights come on. My slip light blinks sometimes after about 30 miles of continuous driving,im guessing it,s trying to tell me to change the diff.fluid. Not sure though, looking into it.

You'll need to download the FSM for your car and look into the troubleshooting section for how to pull the codes from the TCS system. I know that the reason our TCS/SLIP lights were on was due to low pressure in the pump circuit. I had to replace the TCS accumulator assembly with a good used one.

I looked at previous posts on this subject and found that there are 2 relays that s*** themselves underneath the battery. Blue relays. If ya replace them then the lights should go off. My 93 Q45 has done 127000 kilometres.. wouldnt think the accumilator has s*** itself that young. ? I have the fsm.. I have 3 infiniti Q45s so I read up on this forum and in the fsm alot. But there is so much to read!

Good luck with that dude. I followed the FSM carefully and guess what? My TCM doesn't even blink for whatever reason, so that basically ended any self diagnosis I was able to do. I've accepted the fact that the TCS just doesn't work on my car for whatever reason. I changed the blue relays and it did nothing. My only other option (and yours perhaps) is to just suck it up and take it to Infiniti to properly diagnose the problem. Yea it's gonna cost an arm and a leg, but at least it'll get fixed and they warranty the work. I've followed other suggestions on here to take my car to a certain well known mechanic who supposedly is a master tech on the G50 Q (who shall remain nameless) and the guy never calls me back. So it's clear to me that no one wants to work on this car anymore, except Infiniti dealerships. If you do somehow figure out a fix on your own however, please share the wealth of info.

Some dealers seem to lay off the older Techs because they make too much money. You might find original Infiniti Master Techs working in small garages or even gas stations.

Definately interested in any new findings on this. Ive pretty much accepted the fact that my TCS system will probably never work again. But, im not one of those kinds of people that just go in and remove all the lights for things that dont work right so im gonna leave mine up in the hopes that one day it could be fixed. Im glad the dude I got my G50 from left it in there because there surely would have been no way for me to find out becuase I never touch the button. If anyone could come up with a way to fix these things easily and cheaply, they would be rich.lol

I know you were kidding but easy and cheap were words never considered during the run of the 1990-1996 Q45. The help is there in the service manual. All one needs are some specialty tools (power probe or similar) and a multimeter. The rest are basic hand tools as far as TCS is concerned.

on my 2002, the TCS, ABS, and VDC lights stay lit because of a bad front wheel speed sensor. Not sure if the engineering is the same on your older Q.
