Tail Light Tinting

I bought some tinted film for $40 online for my tail lights rather than paint because I have a 2012 model and don't want to paint my lenses. Has anybody else used this for their tail lights? Will it start peeling off or have a sloppy look when I'm done?

I'd suggest spraying them. Tint usually starts cracking after a while. If you're worried about the spray looking faded you can reclear it.

I will be getting the tint film as well. I would prefer to be able to remove it in case the lawmen decide its "unsafe"

the spray tint can be romove i sprayed the headlights on my mustang and turned out to be a really bad idea so i took turtle wax headlight restoration kit and they look better than they did when i sprayed them
