The MicroTel Next door is probably your best option. Nothing special... but clean enough and nicer than anything else nearby (Knight's Inn). My room even had a half bottle of Lindeman's red wine and some dried apricots left in a drawer

Will be out of town for Aunt's 90th birthday.................sure hope some of that wears off on me. Another 31 years of Q ownership would be great.

If you'll have transportation, I highly recommend Priceline.com! Just choose an area nearby and a high enough star level that nothing you get will suck... I usually go 2.5 - 3+ stars. I think I paid about $45/night for a Doubletree in ATL once. Of course, it was about three weeks after 9/11/01, so travel was a little slow...

an update for future T3 trekkers-I checked in to the Country Inn hotel, about 3 blocks away from T3-very nice, clean hotel for 85 per night-even free wireless internet in room-Dropped q at T3 at 7:30am this morning-checked on q at 3pm today,Byron was just beginning to start reattaching plenum! He ripped thru waterpump, thermostat, belts, all pullys, valve cover gaskets/plugs,knockers and harness, all under plenum hoses and oxygen sensors pretty quickly!

What a site! more g50 Q`s in the parking lot than most Infiniti dealers had on their lots in the mid 1990`s ! Ty was cordial and gave me the grand tour of the joint-a new parts arsenol second to none in the back room and Byron took the time to talk Q as he put mine back together!Cant wait til morning to get her back!Went to the Atlanta Aquarium this afternoon-WOW ! you have to see the 6.1 million gallon tank,it is breathtaking as you walk thru a clear acrylic tube that goes right thru the bottom of the tank-sharks and fish all around you!

Sounds awesome! I'm gonna have to go over there to do my plenum sometime. They did some work on my J years ago and a precheck on my Q I have now.

I'm sure Byron enjoyed the fact that (unlike me) you actually went the aquarium! I had a bad habit of watching over his shoulder the whole time.... couldn't help myself

Byron is an amazing technician! Do they still have the old charcoal Q that they move in every night to keep the reposessors from picking it up? Apparently it also has some repair bills in arrears and they were making sure the collateral stayed in their hands!

Yeah,I would have enjoyed hanging out watching all day,but I felt it would have hindered the process for them.Kind of scary to see your engine pulled apart, wondering if every bolt and fastner will get back to it`s proper place!

Ty showed me a 1990 charcoal q that was parked indoors, not being worked on,said it belonged to the owner, wonder if it is the same one you are referring to?

After dinner, just had to stop by and peek{they were closed,8pm},there sat my Q,in the glassed in garage-with a ls400 on the rack on top of my Q! quite a sight seeing the 2 stacked like that!

I don't think so... the one I saw was Charcoal, but it was a real beater... smoked, etc. T3's owner has a Q (probably several), so I bet that one was his.

Charles's pristine 90 with 99 Forged wheels was in the left bottom bay near parts.

He only has 2 working Q, M30 convert, LS400, MB station wagon, G20

Which Infiniti had forged wheels in 1999?

Charles should drop by again as it has been at least 3 years since his only post.

Qtech, did you use my extra fuel hose I left with ty in exchange for them adjusting my parking brake? For some reason, Joe`s "ultimate under plenum kit" included 3 packages of 5-6 foot lengths of fuel hose-when only a couple feet are needed? I will send the 2 unopened packs back!

I unfortunatly need to stop back at t3 Monday morning before leaving town as the CEL illuminated yesterday! Had codes checked at Autozone today p0400 and p0325-ugh!

I think I may have fixed the p0400 problem, seems Byron left a vacuum line unconnected at egr after reassembling plenum-p0325 knock sensor code puzzles me as I had them replace knockers and harness? Oh well,we shall see on Monday

I saw Charlies q by the parts bin and his m30 convertible-his q looks good, except engine bay was extremely filthy!!! brake fluid looked new though!

No I use my own special fuel hose. Had I known I would have.

It takes ~~ 12" of fuel hose unless you change the off engine lines.

Is this hose a lot better than what T3 normally uses? I set up an appt for next Monday at T3 Decatur to do my fuel hoses (again) and Tommy said "you don't want to use our fuel hose." So what can I use? Available locally? I think Tommy is checking on it.......

If extreme longevity beyond 2-3-4 years is desired we recommend that owners secure Nissan OEM fuel hose. We buy what we believe is a good quality suitable fuel hose BUT because gasoline blends vary and will vary, those away from Georgia should select their own brand and manufacturer.

We rarely have problems with those cars that only refuel in Georgia. We did try BMW fuel hoses years ago that caused problems after a few years.

All hoses [ like all replacement parts] are warrantied for 12 months/12k.

If you use E10 you are on your own since this is not used in Georgia [except some rare Shell stations].

The 2 difficult under plenum hoses require less than 1 foot of hose.

Neither Scottsdale or Nalley Infiniti (Decatur) carry Nissan fuel hose, they both carry generic fuel hose. Did you find OEM hose through a different source?

The oem hose that comes off the engine to filter and return line has never failed on any Q as far as I know. Go to junkyard remove both hoses.. Cut 1" off each end and you should have enough for 2-4 changes.

Noticed than our pine scrap/ peanut husk/ cudzoo ethanol plant had the ground breaking this week and our version of Govenator is back pushing homegrown ethanol. Won't be long now kiddies.

When we get E10 then we can study the hose problem better and come up with a solution in a few years.

Maybe someone at MIT could offer better advice in the present.

I got 3 packages of 5-6 foot sections of nissan hose from scottsdale,at almost 40$ per package-Ty was very interested in keeping the excess 4 feet or so,even traded adjusting my parking brake for the leftover length! The other 2 packages are on their way back to scottsdale-they came in nissan labeled sealed bags.

The last I bought was from Infiniti of Lisle - during the T.J. to Joe transition. I bet Joe can order it for you... or sell you 96QShip's

Hmmm.... I didn't get the impression it was real Nissan hose when I talked to Scottsdale. I have an appt at T-3 Decatur on Monday and I think Tommy has found some hose for me. We'll see. Right now I just want to get it over with.

I drive by T3 at least once a week. Saw the M30 vert parked out there.

I love that place. My friend recently got a G50 and I've been trying to convince him to take it to Ty to look over. We know its got some issues, but I think having the complete picture and finding the best order in which to tackle the problems is critical.

hannibal, you seem to understand the G50 and what T-3 can do for it better than your friend.

I got qship96's hose!! So thanks for the hookup! It's much better than the hose they were getting from the nearby dealer.

When Tommy got the plenum off he also noticed the injector harness was brittle, so he replaced that and removed/cleaned all the injectors. Picking it up tonight, so I'll see what it feels like.

If these fuel hoses hold up I may have the fix the AC!

Glad to be of help! Had I known this hose was so in demand,I would have kept the 10-12 feet of it I sent back to Scottsdale and offered it up bit by bit to all those here that needed some!
