Never heard of them. Have you checked the UK and Australian forums?

There was a thread made a while ago discussing the Supertech pistons and how the are made from a different alloy compared to CP's, Wiseco's. Arias........

User "dhen' has them.

Inquire him about what you seek.

Search for a thread called "cheapest ca18 forged pistons" (or something similar). Dhen has pictures of them when he got them and installed. They actually look very nice, and they are in fact clearanced for the oil squirters. Its easiest to find the thread by typing "ca18 pistons" into google.

Yeah, I didn't reply because I didn't remember the part number.

They've been fine so far, but I haven't put very many miles on them yet. I'm pretty sure they were notched, but I'm using a DE block without oil squirters. I would call to make sure.

Here's the pictures:

$400 for a set of forged pistons isn't bad.

The piston top looks a little too, well, simple, compared to other, more "established" brands, at least. It's basically completely flat. Isn't that bad for quench, and what do you call it, swirl, or tumble, which should both help to prevent detonation or pre-ignition?

Also, is this stock compression ratio?

They're good pistons!

Cheap and clear the squirters

PS... What will eat a stock pistons will 99.9% of the time eat a forged unit as well

They look very similar to the CP pistons I got for my engine. Although they are less shiney.

^ Well, they make them for the CA.

Part # NWN-1001 (intake)NEW-1001 (exhaust)

They are just stainless, but they can make them from Inconel if you so desire.

Actually, after looking at it, you could probably retrofit the vq35/vk56 exhaust valves in there. They are a bit longer(4-5mm), but have the same shaft diameter, and you can get them in a wide range of head sizes from slightly larger than ca18 stock (30.5mm vs. 28.15mm stock) to huge (32.35mm) AND they already come in Inconel form.

Yep I use supertech valves in my build...

RB25 Nitride Inlet and Iconel exhaust..

On the inlet side, I used 35.15mm diameter valves, exhaust is 30.65mm..

This is about the limit of the diameter on the inlet side before you venture outside the chamber, you could probably get away with another .5mm on the exhaust but you would need an engineer with a very experienced hand..

Although in my build thread, here is a couple of shots that illustrate the size of the supertech valves in the head..

You can see the machine work that went into making these fit too..

Hey guys,

Where are you guy's getting your supertech pistons from?I messaged the bloke on eBay over 2 weeks ago for a postage price to Aust' and he still hasn't got back to me. I sent another one last week and the same story so i'm looking else where. The Australian distributor wants AU$850 (US$765) so it'll be cheaper for me to get them from the states.
