1991 Nissan D21 Pickup 2.4L

Simply cannot get the top fuel line hose off the fuel filter. Thinking about just cutting it off and getting a new hose. Problem is none of the parts stores sell JUST the hose.. I am guessing I have to buy the entire fuel kit which I dont want to do.

Any tips would be appreciated. I cant even twist the hose on top of the fuel filter, and yes the bracket is loose lol

Any other tricks to try and loosen the hose?

Thanks

Is there enough slack on the existing hose to cut the stuck portion off but still be able to connect the new filter? Have you disconnected the bottom hose? If not, do so and then try holding the filter and twisting it or the hose to break the connection. Don't pull on the hose until it's loosened as it'll just become tighter due to the barb - it's like a Chinese finger trap.

Check the fuel pump fuse. If you relieved pressure by removing the fuse, perhaps you forgot to replace it? :)
