Hey guys - Ilya and the other mods have given me the go ahead to offer a group buy for the strut bar mounts I made.

A picture to refresh your memories - they are modeled after the GTSPEC mounts - but made to fit our vehicles... This is specifically for the Y50 - it will probably fit the m45 - as the frame is the same - but no guarantees. Also might fit the HR's but cannot say at all... The measuring is mad close to G37 in length for reference.

There may be minor cutting needed to the passenger and driver side plastics - but it will clear the engine cover. The install is fairly easy - just use stock top hat bolts and nuts - torque to spec. You may have to maneuver the mounts around wire-harnesses and A/C lines, but once they are planted, the bar will clear all hard parts.

In order for the group buy to move forward I need at least 10 folks - as this will cover material and powder - barely any markup. I am trying to get them all made this week - with shipping next week. The price is $115 (plus paypal fees) - shipped ground - CONUS only - will make concessions for OCONUS shipping as long as you cover the cost. They will be powder coated black - I can leave them raw if you prefer - or can change to a different color (but the cost will go up.) Also I can include the compatible GTSPEC bar, but it will be drop shipped from the manufacturer, not from me. I know for now there are definitely 3 bars in stock - the price for the mounts AND bar will be $315 shipped conus (again the bar is straight from manufacturer, no guarantee on time for shipping etc, bar is $225 plus shipping retail - so nice deal there)

Pack 1 - USB Mounts, P/C Black - $115
Pack 2 - USB Mounts, P/C Black, GTSPEC Bar - $315
Pack 3 - Variable - I will send an invoice with your changes in price. Will be at-least $115.

How it will work: Make it known you want a set. PM me your paypal address and what pack you want. I will send an invoice - and will keep everyone updated on progress. Because of SEMA - this has to be done this week - otherwise I will have to re-attempt at the end of November. As of right now if I do not get 10 guys on board - I may not continue with the group buy - but will cross that road when it comes.

PM me for specific questions, gripes or concerns.

Guarantees/Returns:
I cannot accept returns on the GTSPEC bar since it is direct. On the mounts however, I will warranty them. If over the course of driving - they break/warp/or otherwise do not function due to the MANUFACTURING PROCESS - I will replace them upon receipt of the defective mounts (for original purchaser only.) If you get them - do not like them - don't like the install - don't want to risk it - whatever - you ship them back and I will refund cost minus 10% (cover powder) unless you receive the item and it is not as described. This is a one time deal - my shop will be selling this and our own bar in the near future (sometime next year) for $375 (low estimate)

If you purchase pack 1 - I will send the GTSPEC part number if you want to order on your own.

Cheers - hope you guys like them. If shenanigans ensue or we do not reach the required amount - I will shut this down by wednesday. I will expect payment by that time if it is a success.

This is great. Could you provide measurements and specs? I have an M37 and I'm wondering how close if at all this would be to fitting that as well.

Yeah - will post measurements soon - the GTSPEC bar is actually meant for 03-06 G35- and I know a few guys running G35 FSBs on the 37 - only difference for our cars is the bolt pattern and circle base - legit a very small difference. I was hoping initially to just buy the bar and it be a perfect fit (be the hero of the M35 community rofl) but unfortunately was not the case.

That brass colored round thingy in the front is included, right?

Anyway, seriously, do you think I'd notice the difference on my currently straight stock M35x?

If you mean the supercharger - of course it is included - if not, clarify.

No you will probably not notice a difference - unless you consistently push apex at +70mph

A base might feel a slight daily driven difference - however. There is slight chassis flex under RWD hard acceleration.

Any M's with quicker final drive gears (if anyone here is that cool) will also see a marked improvement in both oversteer and twisting under dig WOT.

I'll consider you super cool if you had a strut bar tho!

I wish I had the disposable funds to replace both diffs with something obnoxious - then maybe I can be cool too - also my strut bar would be functional instead of pretty.

Our diffs are pretty compatible with the G37 stuff. Im sure with your skills you could easily work out any slight incompatibilities with the badass aftermarket ones like OS Giken or one of the others. Or are there no aftermarket differentials that work with any of the AWD models?

I am in for a set of mounts (pack 1), no GT bar.
Since this is such a tight timeframe, maybe you could try PMing some of the easy to find people who posted in your other thread? I know not everyone visits the site more than once or twice a week :(

Only I will judge coolness - if It werent for the mounts you are buying, I'm not 100% you'd make the cut !!!!

Also - our diffs are mad universal - tons of options (basically anything that will fit in a G or Z- like a 3.7 or 2 way - it just the damn price tag for 2 - insane amount for minor (technical) dramatic (personal) improvements.

If I had a RWD - my FD would be unusable - jerk your a** right out the car, would need a seatbelt for your back.

Good idea on the PM's will do that tonight. I figured with the constant "why are there no strut bars" and "$800 for a strut bar???" posts I'd have to turn people away! I completely forgot about SEMA though - time is tight fo sho - it has completely destroyed every other project on the calendar.

strut brace is designed to reduce body flex

sway bars are designed to reduce body roll

not any strut bar - these are made specifically for a GTSPEC bar - we WILL be making a bar, but not right now. sema is killing...

Unless you're taking exit ramps at 80mph, you won't notice a difference. I do that on the daily so... :chuckle:

I really want to be in on this but I need some measurements to compare against the M37...unless you can somehow get access to an M37 to see how much different the mounts might be.

Visually it looks so close...

my bad man... completely spaced on this...

my only concern is the bolt pattern - and I do not have access to a 37 right now.... measurement from center of hub to center of hub - the big center bolt - over the covers, using tape, is roughly 36" that is with the tape tight against the cover... The bar with bends is roughly 38.5"

See if you can compare the bolt pattern to an M35 - as well its distance from the firewall - if it is identical to the M35 - then you only have to be concerned about center to center length.

With the angles of the mounts - it is hard to give you more specific measurement.

Just measure as you described from center bolt to center bolt over the covers with a flexible tape measure and it's almost exactly 36". Bolt pattern is 4" apart. The only thing I can't measure is the angle.

based off your pic - it looks damn similar - will probably fit, but obviously cannot guarantee it...

I think it will fit - but not my money lol...

If you want - grab a set, will send u a pm shortly explaining - and we will work something out.

Angle...if my extremely scientific measuring is correct...is ~68.199 degrees. Or I'm completely off lol. :gotme

Alright guys - I could not get my costs lower - what we decided to do was let the group buy stretch for a week. Next friday will be the end date. I'll be at SEMA all week so I will be hit or miss on the forums. Sorry for the guys who are already in it - but at the material price, I'd lose my a**.

I would pickup a cheapie fixed adjustment steel bar. You don't even have to pc it just rusty steel I'll paint it myself. As long as it's not more than $200.
