What is the stock pressure setting for the fuel pressure regulator in PSI? This is on a completely stock SR running stock boost. I need to set my adj FPR to compensate for my walbro fuel pump.

it should be around reading 60psi with the Walbro on OEM FPR. It needs to be around 45psi. This is during idle of course. Most people dont even bother with turning it down.

I have been doing alot of searching and seen people say it should be anywhere from 30-45psi. This seems like a pretty large range to me. I have a completely stock 98 s13 blacktop with a walbro 255. I am kind of stressing out because I am driving it daily and am worried about running too rich and damaging my engine.

Also, I have heard of 3 different ways to adjust it, what is the best?

1. Adjust it during idle2. Jumper the fuel pump relay, and turn on the ignition so the fuel pump stays on. Adjust fuel pressure.3. Pull the vac hose from the fuel pressure regulator and adjust during idle.

Thanks

So running a Walbro on the stock FPR will be okay?

You can run the Walbro on stock FPR but your fuel pressure will be really high and can cause some studdering when going larger injectors. Just so everyones straight. Fuel Pressure without vacuum should be 43.5psi and once the vacuum is connected itll drop to 37psi.

With my stock FPR I am running 36psi at idle and 46psi when I disconnect the vaccume line from the FPR.

Spend the money on a Nismo. For $125 it really releaves alot of problems and doubt. Get a Wideband or Dyno and see what your AFR is. If its in the 11's then your fine with the stock FPR. But youll still have to upgrade it at some point.

I will only be running stock boost, so will I have issues with my AFR running too lean/rich with the Walbro and stock FRP? I don't plan on upgrades bc this will be a daily for at least another year.

Shouldn't there be a 10psi difference between idle and when the vaccume hose is removed? I wish there was a definitive answer on what the PSI should be for idle and w/o vaccume. I have talked to 10 different people and received 10 different answers. I can't find this anywhere in the FSM.

well if you ask me its going to differ between stock fpr's because of things such as there quality and the engine even though they are all sr20's because of their condition and the slight differences there could be in there vaccuums

a stock fpr is non-adjustable..you must buy an aftermarket adjustable fpr and make sure you buy a gauge with it so you know what you have adjusted your fuel pressure to

At least you searched... 43.5psi without vacuum hooked up to the FPR at idle. Of course, once it's set... Hook the vacuum back up..
