I've already posted on the other thread but my opinion is they work and they are worth the money as long as you get the Unorthodox Racing pulley's. Don't get them from ebay. I got the full set which will save you money in the long run if you plan on getting the other pulleys later because you'll have to pay for installation each time unless you do it yourself.

Don't they sell Unorthodox Pulleys on ebay for the G? I believe I've seen them. Are those still considered a rip off even though they are unorthodox? Or are they a fake?

Just remember that pullies will decrease the relative speed of all ancillary equipment (alternator, power steering pump, AC).

Do not get underdrive pulleys if you plan on upgrading your stereo or adding a supercharger in the future.

Just be warned...I have an MTX system that taxes the hell out of my car's electrical system. And yes, I have an Optima deep cycle batt, and 1F Caps.

I'm running a TA7801 that is certified to push 1800W rms at 1ohm...it actually slows down the car when the bass hits. The only solution is to upgrade the alternator...but I haven't found a decent one yet. Anyway, if I had underdrive pulleys, it would make it even worse.

underdrive pulleys can support up to a 600 watt rms stereo with no problems. much more than that, yeah, new alternator, battery, and capacitors.

you're going to LOVE IT!!!! let us know what you think! (don't make me look bad! )

What is the benefit of the full set? Isn't the crank pulley really the only one that matters?

I don't care about car audio at all, just performance, what would the whole set affect? I do love AC though, frosty cold because it's 1 degree hotter than Hell here in Texas.

lekker_droom - where in Dallas?

you're right, though. the other pulleys are lighter but that doesn't actually give you any better performance. they're more for aesthetics. the crank pulley's the only one THAT ROCKS!!!!

Yeah, I think I might just go for the crank pulley.

I'm in Uptown, between West Village and Knox area right on the Katy Trail.

You? You the DG Coupe on Buena Vista all the time, parked on the street?

Nevermind, just saw you were a sedan.

EDIT: Chad, LOL, I just checked out your profile, we registered on day apart and are the same age.
