Well, if you ever run across the guy John Stagnitta... don't buy anything from him... the items don't exist. I bought my Z31 turbo from him off of http://www.z31.com and it turns out he now has my money and I have nothing except a money order stub. After some searching and calling, I find this guy has been arrested before for the same thing. He is in Merrit Island, FL just FYI.

So... I still need a turbo... hopefully not to expensive due to the missing funds. What comes around goes around... as long as he doesn't do this to anyone else... I will be happy. I would prefer a Z31 turbo again, but would settle for a RB25DET one if need be... hopefully the next one I order actually exists.

A 1.0 A/R sounds kind of big for a RB20... thank you very much for the offer.

huge actually but that's not a bad price. If it's a T3/T4 at least it will get you back on the road. Sorry to hear about that s.o.b. stealing your money.

the turbo will bolt on to a t3 flange. 1.0 a/r on the turbine and .60 a/r on the compressor isn't that big for a rb20. people are straping the t66 to the rb20 and this t04b is no way compare to the t66 my friend!

If you can afford to get a 50 trim T3/T4 with a .63 AR housing stage III wheel. Cheap turbo has them for 450. You will need an external wastegate or you can get it with an internal gate for another $200 or so. If it's internal it will bolt right up. I just too my stock RB25 turbo off my car last night but I was going to keep it for My GSR unless I get a good offer on it. ;)

Well... just bought a internally gated (not a huge fan of a external gate) T3/T4 turbonetics turbo w/ .60 turbine a/r... should be good. It was purchased with the intent to go on a B18 honda drag kit... hopefully I don't get burned twice. This was on ebay and it looked good and after several emails and questions... I felt good about buying it off the guy. I have a Profec B (first gen knob type... to keep with the "old school" theme of the car), so hopefully that'll help with spool-up a little.

Hybrid let me take his car out last night... I really appreciate it bud... nothing like a good car and a nice night drive to relax a bit.

Thanks a lot for your support fellas... and thanks for the tip Mack... I'll look into that... great idea! I'm not so pissed about the money as I am the fact that I've put off getting the motor in for 3 weeks waiting on this turbo... oh well... you live you learn.

Hopefully she'll be ready to run about the same time I get the Kei Office XT-alpha's in about 2 weeks...

Dispite the ups and downs... this is turning into one cool project... here's a list for those who are interested:

RB20DET MKIV (last gen supra) fuel pump Tein tie rods and ends w/ spacers Tomei Hicas lock Nismo tension rod bushings GReddy boost, fuel pres, and oil pres gauges (black face, bezel and white needle and numbers) Hybrid "giant" front mount intercooler (in search... Hybrid has old one)Optima red top w/ trunk relocation GReddy Profec B boost controller GReddy fuel cut defender RB25DET MAF sensor Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo Kei Office Type XT-alpha suspension K&N pod filter

file a claim with the money order company, it will be slow but you will get your $ back.

next time get a us postal office money order, they help fight against scam better.

It was a US Postoffice money order... let me know what I should do... I've never had to deal with this before. The only other time I got ripped off I payed with a credit card and got my money back from them.

The turbo I bought was a Turbonetics .48 comp .60 compressor... what do you make of that madscientist/Mack/WD? It kind of looks like it might be a 50 or 57 trim going by the "typical" trims seen with these a/r's don't you think? Going by the ones I had spec'd out before it seems right... not quite perfect but still good.

I figure I'm winning either way b/c the specs seem like they should work (I could find out for sure, but can't find a comp map of this... since most only go by trim and whatnot), and if it's not acting like I want... take care of it while getting a rebuild. I just need something to hold me until my GT25R (which I won't run without also having the Microtech, injectors and proper manifold), so this should work well I think.

The .48 turbine is going to hold you back on power. I would go with a .63 if you can find one. Also the 50 trim is nice and the 60 trim is good too. The other trims (54,57) are kinda odd balls. Not saying you can't make power with them but I would take a 50 trim over a 54 and a 60 trim over a 57. Do you know what exhaust wheel you have?

trust me the ".48 comp " is way too small for the I-6 motor. even 4-banger guys complains it running out of breath at top.

no one run their motor under 3k anyways (don't count hw cruising) ?

You won't get your money back sorry to say. The person you sent the money to got the money, so it's not considered stolen.

I sent a guy $750 for a laptop and never recieved anything. After months of paperwork, I got a xerox of the signed money order with his name, and they didn't do anything but write him a letter saying to return the money...yay.

the turbo will fit on a t3 flange, but i'm not sure about the space availble on the stock manifold to clear the turbine.

Yup its also a upgrade too!! i believe that the RB20 turbo is a T3/T25 while a RB25 is a T3/T28
