Sometimes, there's a fine line between being irreverent and clever, and being an offensive a$$hat.

It's no secret that I'm not a fan of the cookie-cutter car 'forums' that are owned by corporate suits who have never turned a wrench and don't really give a damn about the true enthusiast community. So, it doesn't make me sad in the least to see the AutoGuide network lose one of their best and brightest.

Props to Mr. Lang for standing up for professional journalism... You can read about his exit from TTAC on his FB page:

Let's give him some support - Looking forward to seeing him land on his feet.

It's pretty much the crap that's to be expected from VerticalScope.

I've never been prouder to be an independent forum owner than when things like this happen. I'm sure they'll lose quite a few advertisers over this one.

"Trucklet" is the single stupidest word I have heard all year.

And I live in a place where people say "ain't" and "them idiots" and "used to could."

THAT was his reason for leaving?

TTAC has churned out so much worse over the years, even without the use of sexual pejoratives. If this was his final straw, he's slow to react. I've never enjoyed TTAC's crummy reviews or their unjustified hatred (there is justified hatred, but theirs wasn't it) for Detroit.

Some of us have to be the exceptions to prove the rule. ;)
