I'm having a problem getting my SR started. When I turn the key I hear one single click, not multiple clicks like when your battery is dead. The only sound I hear is the click, the car does not turn over at all. I have tried starting my car using a different battery and a different starter but doing so has not fixed the problem. I checked all of the grounds (intake to chassis, coil pack ground, back of the head to chassis, and the plug that plugs into the starter). I've searched and have seen others have had the same problems but they never posted the solution. Any suggestions?

I've seen this problems 3 times. All 3 times it turned out to be the ignition switch.

Thank you sir, i also believe it to be the ignition switch also since I can hear the click coming from the relay. It's been one problem after another since my rebuild, hopefully this will be the last one.

So it wasn't the ignition switch, i replaced that. It also wasn't the starter relay, i replaced that with a known good one. I am going to try and jump the starter today to see if that works. I am hoping that it is something simple that I over looked.

Yeah, jumping the starter directly is a good way to test it. Put a female end on a wire, attach it to the male tab on the starter (sometimes it's an actual plug but a male tab regardless) and then hold it to a direct battery source. Make sure the key is on if you want it to start. If that works then you must have a break or short in the wiring from the switch. I would recommend just running a wire straight to your ignition switch from the starter. I will check tomorrow to reference the correct wire color when I get to the shop.

So I still can't get the car started. I've replaced the blue relay under the hood by the fender, and the ignition switch. If I jump the starter the car will start. Im running out of ideas. For now I think I am just going to wire up a switch directly off of the starter so I can drive the car since it has been awhile.
