ever since my swap my cars been hard to start when its cold. its not hard at all when its warmed up though. i had my datascan hooked up to the consult and when i start it , its not showing the start signal. so i hooked it up on a ka and it shows the signal when he starts it. my question is, wheres the wire for that. i know its pin 43 on the ecu. from what i find its the orange wire on the dash harness it or does someone have a pic of which it is?

it's a pin on the ecu that you have to send an extra 12vdc signal to . like pin 56 or something like that. it's been covered plenty of times on this forum. try to search for cold start!

i searched and have been for months. nothing for signal, start, cold start nothing. but pin 43 shows 12 v when starting and 0 any other time so i guess ill just tap the ignition wire that only puts out power when starting and tap it into the ecu

On the S13 it is on the connector under the dash near the ecm and glove box, orange wire. Goes to the P connector, near the ecm and fuel relays, the connector is labeled P in the R32 factory service manual. I think the FSM shows it as a B/Y wire but mine was a Y/L (yellow/blue) wire.

Not sure why your search wasn't bringing up those threads...
