Hey guys, I'm new in town. I'll get some pics and stuff up once I figure out how. In the meantime I need some advice. I have an '04 LE.

Anyways, the other day I ran my battery down listening to music. Next day I went out and a relay was flipping out, battery was virtually dead. I took the positive terminal off until I could deal with it. After work, I charged up the battery and everything seemed fine. Until I tried to start it. It fires up strong (like normal) but then dies instantly. I can start it if I step on the gas. When it's running it idles low, around 500rmp. Driving seems fine but it does seem like there is some power missing. Also if I rev it up and let it drop it almost stalls.

I tried resetting the computer, not sure if it was the pos or neg I was supposed to remove so I tried each (independent of each other) for 30min. No change. I talked to a guy at the dealership today who told me to check the voltage when idling, he figures it could be the alternator.

Has anyone else ever have to deal with this? Any other ideas? I'll check the alternator after work and see if that's it.

It does sound like your alternator...
beware you could stall in the middle of the road...
I have a battery/alternator tester I bought from Amazon...it tells me the charging voltage /// along with the idle voltage....
or you can just use a multi tester and see when you have it parked and start it up and check the voltage...

I tested the voltage at idle and it was over 14volts, so I don't think it's the alternator. I'll get the battery tested tomorrow and see if that's the cause. The only other thing I can think of is to try these.

Idle Air Volume Relearning solved it.
