Hey peoples! I was told the power steering banjo bolt on my Zenki S14 SR20DET is the same as the one on a KA24DE Non-Hicas pump. I went to the stealership yesterday and ordered 2 banjo bolts from them (from a non-hicas KA24DE) and they are way too small, like the one's that came stock on my Hicas model -___- Does anyone know the part number for these bolts? Or if I can use another bolt from another Nissan? Thanks!

It's really frustrating when one person tells you one thing, another tells you differently, and the dealership tells you the complete opposite of what the first two said -___-

They should have been the same. I always retain the KA high pressure line when doing the swap.
EDIT: You said bolts. As in plural. There's only the one banjo for the high pressure line. The other is a slip fit since it's the low pressure side.

Thanks buddy, my mistake. I bought the one bolt* But yeah, I'm not entirely sure if my Hicas high pressure line will work with the SR swap. So many questions that I have! Noobster lol.

I'm an idiot. There are 2 banjo bolts. One connects directly into the pump (very large banjo bolt. Needs a 1 1/16 wrench to loosen IIRC), it connects the solid neck to the high pressure line which uses a second, smaller banjo bolt. You need this guy to connect the neck:

Banjo Bolt

He holds in a valve though, so I hope you haven't lost the valve and spring as well.

Valve

Those are the KA versions. The banjo should be the same I believe, but I don't know about the valves. A lot of the pumps' internals are similar enough, but I've never been had a KA and SR apart to do a side by side.

So, I ordered the banjo bolt from Nissan, and it's the wrong one -____- I'll post up the part number when I get home so you guys can see, but it's the same size as my Hicas one! I ordered one from an 1989-1990 Nissan 240SX with NO HICAS! I explained this to the guys at Nissan, but they don't know s*** all about JDM stuff. There was a guy that owned Silvia's and R32 GTR's there, but he's currently not working there anymore. He crossreferenced all my JDM parts, and knew exactly what I needed all the time.

Your problem is you bought for a SOHC PS pump. All the parts I listed above were for DOHC pumps.

Let us know if that works. I'm fairly certain it will. I mean, the pumps are so similar that you people on NICO have rebuilt SR pumps with a KA rebuild kit. If not, take the fitting off the pump and go to a local shop that deals with hydraulic fittings and ask them to source out a banjo bolt to fit.

I found one near you in case you have to resort to this.
