Hey guys, quick question. I'm in the process of rebuilding my s13 SR, and I got a new timing chain sprocket in the timing kit I bought. In order to remove the sprocket from the crank, I have to pull off the oil pump drive spacer. Well, I figured it would just slide off the end of the crank, but it moved forward maybe 3/8" and stopped (the sprocket moves freely back and forth behind it), as if I need to use a gear puller placed behind the sprocket to to remove it. My question is, should it just freely slide off, or have you guys used a puller to remove the drive spacer/timing sprocket? Just want to verify if it's pressed on (like the crank pulley) or if it should freely move. Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Here's a pic of said spacer and sprocket: (drive spacer keyway is removed btw)

It should slide right out when you line it up. Use some WD-40 or some oil and use some more man power. ;)

ok that's what I thought! I think I'm going to clean up the end of the shaft with a little bit of scotch brite and spray a lotta penetrant on it, hopefully it comes off easy. bahah and yeah, I didn't really man up and torque on it when I initially went to pull on it, but I will in round 2, thanks Lobo!
